Cranberry Salad

Ingredients

1 lg. box orange gelatin

3 c. water

1 lb. washed cranberries (most bags are only 12 oz.)

2 sm. oranges

1 1/2 c. sugar

1 c. broken pecan meats

Directions

Dissolve gelatin in small amount boiling water, then add enough water to equal a total of 3 cups.
Grind cranberries and cut-up oranges alternately.
Add sugar.
Combine with gelatin mixture.
Pour into large, oblong Pyrex.
Chill for an hour.
Carefully stir in the nut meats.
Chill until fully congealed.

Notes

Mother always prepared this at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Beth and I have continued the tradition through the years as Mom has become unable to cook.
